Finding the Good

Posted on Updated on

My adult daughter came across this rocky face while on a Washington Coast beach walk the other day. I am quite certain that someone had set it up as a face – it probably didn’t naturally occur that way – but isn’t it great that someone took the time to create that face so that my daughter, and others on their beach walk, could come upon it and have an immediately brighter day? And Erin texting it to me greatly improved my day.

This post is a brief post of encouragement to keep your eyes open so you notice anomalies in your world that stand out and do something to brighten your day. Whether it’s something visible or audible, do yourself a favor and train your eyes and ears to pick out as many of life’s bright spots as you possibly can every day. And here’s a photo that I captured on my driveway during the season of Autumn from several years ago. I saved it in a folder titled HEARTS that is filled with nature’s naturally occurring hearty beauty.
