Lighten up Mondays

Posted on Updated on

One of my sons-in-law is a commercial fisherman out of Petersburg, Alaska during the summer. To honor him, here’s a joke centered on the art of fishing.

The fishing season hasn’t opened yet, and a fisherman who doesn’t even have a license, is casting for trout as a stranger approaches and asks, “Any luck?”

“Any luck? Heck yes, this is a wonderful spot. I took 10 out of this stream yesterday” he boasts.

“Is that so? By the way, do you know who I am?” asks the stranger.

“Nope.”

“Well, meet the new game warden.”

“Oh,” gulped the fisherman. “Well, do you know who I am?”

“Nope,” said the game warden.

“Meet the biggest liar in the state.”

He’s been fishing for decades. He’s the Captain and has a crew. He’s a Seattle elementary school teacher during the school year.

That’s awesome. We were just watching Wicked Tuna last night…they were here in North Carolina. I admire those fishermen.
